A job starts with the truck-mounted unit. We run hose from the machine at the curb into the house, set corner guards so we don't scuff door casings, and walk the rooms with you first to mark spots, pet areas and anything you want looked at closely. Then we vacuum. Dry soil comes out before any water goes down, because in this region most of what's in your carpet is dry grit, and wetting it first turns it into mud in the backing. Next comes the pre-spray, matched to the fiber and the soil load, and we let it dwell. Then agitation with a counter-rotating brush or a rotary pad to break the soil loose from the yarn and stand the pile back up. The extraction pass follows, hot water under pressure recovered on the same stroke, with slow overlapping passes in traffic lanes and dry strokes at the end to pull moisture back out. Air movers go down in the heaviest rooms before we leave. Most carpet is walkable in a couple of hours and dry the same day.

Which method we use depends on what's in front of us. Hot water extraction is the default and the right call for deep soil, embedded grit and anything where you want the soil out of the base of the pile rather than lifted off the top. Shampooing earns its place on heavily matted cut pile and on greasy traffic film, where the mechanical action and the detergent do more than water pressure alone, and we follow it with a rinse and extraction so nothing stays behind to attract soil. Deodorizing is a separate treatment, not a spray at the end. Urine is the number-one odor call here, and on slab construction it soaks past the pad and sits on the concrete, so a surface treatment does nothing. That work means locating the deposits, treating down to the subfloor and, in bad cases, pulling and replacing pad. We service Shaw, Mohawk, Karastan, Stainmaster, Anderson Tuftex and Masland carpet and adjust heat, chemistry and pass count to the fiber. Wool and some polyesters get a gentler approach than a nylon Stainmaster. On pricing, the estimate is free, you get a firm quote before we start, and nothing changes after that without your say-so. What moves the number is room count and square footage, stairs, how much pet treatment is involved, and whether the carpet needs one pass or a shampoo-plus-rinse sequence.

We work West Hills and out across Greater Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley and adjacent Ventura County and Westside, and the housing tells us a lot before we walk in. The climate load here is dust and dry particulate rather than moisture: fine chaparral and roadside dust, Santa Ana wind grit, wildfire ash in fall, and heavy oil and asphalt residue tracked in from freeway-adjacent parking.
