Longer than most people expect, and that's the honest answer for Camarillo. Add the coastal humidity and you get that sour, closed-up smell. It's a symptom of over-wetting or weak extraction, not of dirty carpet. When we come out we check whether the odor is in the fiber or down in the pad, because they need different treatment. In some cases a pad section genuinely needs to come up rather than be masked.

We give a free estimate and a firm quote before anything gets unpacked, so there's no figure that changes once we're inside. What moves the number is square footage and how many rooms, the fiber and condition of the carpet, whether there are pet areas or set-in spots needing separate treatment, and whether stairs are involved. In much of Camarillo's single-story stock there are no stairs, which helps. Sun-faded carpet at a south-facing window is worth mentioning up front too, since cleaning won't restore color that UV has already taken out, and we'd rather set that expectation before you pay for it than after.
